ELM CREEK (Atascosa County). Elm Creek rises eight miles northwest of Charlotte in western Atascosa County (at 28°59' N, 98°48' W) and runs south for three miles to its mouth on Lagunillas Creek, where the creek intersects with Farm Road 1549 (at 28°55' N, 98°46' W). The local terrain, some of which is used as dry cropland, is low-rolling to flat and surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support scrub brush, cacti, and grasses.
