DILLARD CREEK. Dillard Creek rises 2½ miles south of Avery in southeastern Red River County (at 33°31' N, 94°48' W) and runs south for 7½ miles to its mouth on Roden Creek, in southeastern Red River County 2½ miles west of the Bowie county line (at 33°25' N, 94°47' W). The soils along the creek are loamy, and the area is for the most part heavily wooded, with post and blackjack oaks predominating.
