CEDAR CREEK (CHEROKEE COUNTY)
CEDAR CREEK (Cherokee County). Cedar Creek rises a mile south of Alto in southern Cherokee County (at 31°39' N, 95°05' W) and runs southwest for six miles to its mouth on the Neches River, two miles southeast of the State Highway 21 bridge (at 31°34' N, 95°09' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It traverses flat to gently rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support grasses and mixed hardwoods and pines.
