CEDAR CREEK (FREESTONE COUNTY)
CEDAR CREEK (Freestone County). Cedar Creek rises three miles northwest of Dew in southern Freestone County (at 31°36' N, 96°10' W) and runs south for six miles to its mouth on Caroline Creek, four miles south of Dew (at 31°32' N, 96°09' W). The local terrain is rolling to flat prairie with local shallow depressions, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support hardwoods, pines, conifers, and grasses. The area is used primarily as dry cropland and forest.
