CLEAR CREEK (Bell County). Clear Creek rises two miles southwest of Copperas Cove rises in western Bell County (at 31°06' N, 97°53' W) and runs ten miles northeast to its mouth on House Creek, in southwestern Coryell County (at 31°11' N, 97°49' W). The creek crosses rolling prairie into steep slopes and benches. Clays and clay loams support oak, juniper, grasses, and mesquite.
