CYPRESS CREEK (Hays County). Cypress Creek rises about a mile west of Mount Sharp in western Hays County (at 30°06' N, 98°14' W) and runs southeast for 14½ miles to its mouth on the Blanco River in Wimberley (at 29°59' N, 98°06' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. Live oak and Ashe juniper trees grow in the primarily limestone and chalk soils found along its banks.
