COOPER CREEK (GARZA COUNTY)
COOPER CREEK (Garza County). Cooper (Coopers) Creek rises four miles south of Post in southwestern Garza County (at 33°08' N, 101°24' W) and runs southeast for fourteen miles to its mouth on the Double Mountain Fork of the Brazos River, near U.S. Highway 84 (at 33°03' N, 101°15' W). The surrounding steeply to gently sloping terrain is surfaced by shallow stony clay and sandy loams that support oak, mesquite, grasses, and scrub brush.
