COAL KILN DRAW. Coal Kiln Draw rises just southeast of the Murr Ranch compound in northeastern Sutton County (at 30°39' N, 100°09' W) and runs northwest for 4½ miles to its mouth on Terrett Draw, just north of the Schleicher county line (at 30°43' N, 100°10' W). The surrounding gently rolling terrain is surfaced by shallow to deep loamy soils broken by occasional rock outcrops. Local vegetation includes grasses, with scattered stands of oak, juniper, and mesquite.
