CLEAR CREEK (Newton County). Clear Creek rises four miles west of Wiergate in northwestern Newton County (at 31°00' N, 93° 46' W) and runs southeast for 7½ miles to its mouth on Yellow Bayou, three miles south of Burkeville (at 30°57' N, 93°41' W). It crosses the heavily forested country typical of much of Newton County.
