CEDAR CREEK (JOHNSON COUNTY)
CEDAR CREEK (Johnson County). Cedar Creek rises 4½ miles northwest of Bono in western Johnson County (at 32°22' N, 97°34' W) and runs west for two miles to its mouth on the Brazos River, at the De Cordova Bend a half mile west of the Hood county line (at 32°21' N, 97°36' W). It runs through variable terrain surfaced by shallow, stony clay loams that support juniper, oak, cacti, and grasses. Throughout Johnson County's history, the Cedar Creek area has been used as range and crop land.
