CANAL CREEK. Canal Creek rises a mile east of Vivian in northwestern Foard County (at 34°02' N, 99°53' W) and runs northeast for six miles to its mouth on the Pease River, at State Highway 6 (at 34°06' N, 99°47' W). It crosses an area of steep to moderately sloping hills, surfaced by shallow, stony, sandy and clay loams that support mesquite, oak, and grasses.
