ARROYO VELEÑO. Arroyo Veleño (Valeño) rises at Arroyo Salado four miles southeast of Bustamante in central Zapata County (at 26°59' N, 99°09' W) and runs southwest for four miles to its mouth on International Falcon Reservoir, two miles southeast of State Highway 16 (at 26°56' N, 99°12' W). The stream crosses low-rolling to flat terrain with shallow to deep sandy and clay loams in which grow scrub brush, grasses, and cacti.
