Carolyn Hyman

JONES, SIMEON L. (1808–?). Simeon L. Jones, early settler and legislator, was born in Wales in 1808. About 1837 he traveled to Texas and settled first in Galveston. Later he moved to San Patricio and represented San Patricio County in the Sixth Congress. He was notary public of San Patricio from 1842 to 1844, when he resigned. He was living in Galveston in 1851.
