Workshops With Our Partners

The Texas State Historical Association is proud to partner with the Austin Independent School District, Bullock Texas State History Museum, Capitol Visitors Center, Texas General Land Office, Texas State Library, and Archives Commission & Texas Historical Records Advisory Board to expand the offerings of professional development for Texas history teachers. In addition, we will partner with other institutions and groups to create additional opportunities intended to provide workshops that focus on informative content, resources, and practical classroom applications.

As offerings are scheduled and registration opened this page will be updated, information posted to TeachingTexas.org, and material shared via the Texas Insights E-Newsletter.

The THRAB Conflict and Compromise in History: Using Primary Resources in the Classroom Workshop will explore Slavery and Civil Rights using the archives of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. The workshop is limited to 30 participants.
