Join us for a real 1800s Spook-tober event, Austin's legendary Halloween experience for all ages at Pioneer Farms. It's family friendly, to boot. Come experience history from a ghostly perspective! Three trails will be available (G, PG, & PG-13). The event will be from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Chapter Sponsors should
register by completing the online survey by October 20th. Admission will be provided by the Junior Historians of Texas and is free for JH members, sponsors, and chaperones.

Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg will host
Junior Historians of Texas for an incredible living history event! See
the Pacific Combat Zone from WWII in action. Attendees will enjoy
admission, activities and lunch provided by TSHA. Come see military vehicles like the LCVP Higgins boat, M3 Stewart Tank and half-track; view trench and cave fighting up close and much more! The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Junior Historians of Texas will gather for some historic holiday cheer and fun at Bayou Bend in Houston. Bayou Bend is the MFAH house museum for American decorative arts and paintings. Displayed in the former home of Houston civic leader and philanthropist Ima Hogg (1882–1975), the collection is one of the finest showcases of American furnishings, silver, ceramics, and paintings in the world. The house is situated on 14 acres of organically maintained gardens in Houston’s historic River Oaks neighborhood. Join us for a beautiful tour of the property and fun for students. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch and admission is provided by TSHA.
