2007 Annual Meeting Highlights
The TSHA held its 111th Annual Meeting at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio March 8-10, 2007, hosting forty-eight Texas history presentations by leading authorities on Texas politics, the Civil War, women and cattle trails, Tejano influences on the Texas frontier, wind power, women’s health, archeology, architecture, the Cotton Bowl, the latest on the Yellow Rose, and more.

After a full day of sessions on Thursday, March 8, start the festivities with the "Welcome to San Antonio" reception at the Witte Museum and a private viewing of the exhibit, "A Wild and Vivid Land: Stories of South Texas." Following the Witte Museum tour, buses will return to the Crowne Plaza for the Awards Banquet. There you can join fellow history enthusiasts in officially recognizing significant contributors to the study of Texas history.
