QUEEN'S PEAK. Queen's Peak is in western Montague County (at 33°38' N, 97°52' W) four miles north of Bowie. Its elevation is 1,189 feet above mean sea level. During the nineteenth century the summit was used as an observation point to monitor Indian movements.
