PAINT CREEK (Bastrop County). Paint Creek rises two miles northwest of Paige in northeastern Bastrop County (at 30°14' N, 97°08' W) and flows northward for 4½ miles to its mouth on West Yegua Creek, near the Lee county line (at 30°17' N, 97°10' W). It travels through uplands surfaced by loamy to sandy soil that supports post oak woods and grasslands.
