NARCISENO CREEK. Narciseno Creek rises nine miles northwest of Benavides in central Duval County (at 27°44' N, 98°28' W) and runs southeast for twenty-six miles to its mouth on Santa Gertrudis Creek, a mile southeast of Palito Blanco in western Jim Wells County (at 27°34' N, 98°10' W). The surrounding flat terrain with local shallow depressions is surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
