FALL CREEK (Blanco County). Fall Creek rises at the foot of Shovel Mountain, about four miles north of the Cypress Mill community in far northeastern Blanco County (at 30°27' N, 98°14' W), and runs east for 10½ miles through Hill Country terrain to its mouth on the Pedernales River, in western Travis County (at 30°24' N, 98°07' W). The stream runs through scattered stands of live oak, mesquite, and Ashe juniper trees; the soil along its banks is loamy. Limestone and granitic outcroppings of the Llano Uplift mark the terrain.
