Texas History Day Video

"Living History"
A Television Segment Produced By
Texas Parks & Wildlife Television

The video segment below traces the research and development of Trent Butler's 2008 National History Day project on the birth of Big Bend National Park and the role of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Trent's project caught the eye of Ron Kabele and staff at Texas Parks & Wildlife Television who successfully captured what goes into a History Day project and produced this piece which aired on PBS stations statewide in fall of 2008. This video is made available through the generous permission of Texas Parks & Wildlife Television who stated that it could be made available to "anyone in anyway" for the advancement of History Day. Enjoy!

The Texas State Historical Association thanks Texas Parks & Wildlife Television, Trent Butler, the Butler Family, and Trent's teachers for sharing this meaningful experience.
