Nominations of Fellows


Texas State Historical Association

requests nominations for

Fellows of the Association

 

The by-laws of the Association provides that "members who show, by published work, special aptitude for historical investigation may become Fellows.... In any given year the number of Fellows elected, if any, shall be within the sole discretion of the Board of Directors; however, at no time shall there be more than three persons elected as Fellows of the Association each year." The Fellows Committee is charged with the task of seeking qualified candidates but also invites nominations from Association members. The committee is not obligated to appoint any new Fellows if the nominees do not meet the requirements.

New Fellows will be announced and presented a certificate at the Association's annual meeting. Fellows elected by the current committee will be honored at the annual meeting in March 2010.

Nominations for Fellows to be honored in 2010 should be sent to each committee member by December 31, 2009. For addresses of the committee members write to:
