In addition to inaugurating Frances Brannen Vick as TSHA president at the Annual Meeting, elections were held and new board members were named. TSHA is honored to have Dianne Powell serve as second vice president. She joins Fran Vick, vice president Walter L. Buenger, and past presidents Frank de la Teja and Larry McNeill in rounding out the 2008 TSHA officers. Jack W. Niland and John Schoellkopf begin three-year terms on the board of directors. All bring valuable knowledge and a common love of history and TSHA to the board.

Details about their many accomplishments and an interview with Fran Vick appear in the Collection section of the April issue of the Southwestern Historical Quarterly. The issue also features the board members who have agreed to serve a second three-year term and those members who have fulfilled their tenures.
