As a member of the Texas State Historical Association, you will receive free subscriptions to the Southwestern Historical Quarterly and Riding Line, our quarterly newsletter; a 20 percent discount on all TSHA publications and educational materials; and a $20 discount on registration for the Annual Meeting.

How Do I Join TSHA?

You can use our online membership form to join immediately. Annual Meeting

Educational Programs

The Junior Historians of Texas encourages the study of Texas history in elementary, middle and high schools through hands-on activities, contest activities, an Annual Meeting and the opportunity to publish in the Texas Historian. For grades 6-12, Texas History Day provides an exciting year-long program which culminates in a multi-level contest program to encourage student research in all areas of history. The Walter Prescott Webb Historical Society sponsors historical study in colleges and universities and publishes the undergraduate research journal Touchstone (Member Discount varies with program). Newsletters inform sponsors of activities and the latest trends in teaching history.

Educator Workshops and Seminars

Educators renew their enthusiasm and learn new techniques, materials, and interpretations in the Association's highly acclaimed History Awareness Workshops and the Heritage Travel Program traveling seminar (Member Discount varies with program).
