The Liz Carpenter Award will be presented and a scholarly presentation on the subject of women in Texas History will follow.  On Thursday evening, the Presidential Reception will welcome Dianne Garrett Powell as the 2010-2011 TSHA President.

Start the day on Friday, March 5, at the Book Lovers' and Texana Collectors' Breakfast with a scholarly presentation by a noted historian. At noon, the Fellows Luncheon and Presentation of Awards will recognize accomplishments in the field of Texas History. In addition, the Webb Society Annual Meeting will take place Friday afternoon. After the Friday afternoon sessions, join fellow TSHA members for the Presidential Banquet to honor 2009-2010 President Walter Buenger.

With the help of J.P. Bryan, TSHA will revive the famous Live Auction for some very special items. The Silent Auction of Tours and Texana, which includes private tours, rare books, maps, and objects, will run March 4th and 5th.

Rare books and recent publications by some of the region’s leading publishers of history will be for sale in the exhibit hall throughout the meeting.
