Stephen F. Austin's Old Three Hundred
Research Fellowship in Texas History

The Stephen F. Austin's Old Three Hundred Research Fellowship is awarded annually for the best research proposal by a master's or doctoral candidate concerning Texas history during the years 1820 through 1836.
Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2008. The application, which should be no longer than one page, should specify the purpose of the research, the need for the money, and a description of the end product (article, book, or exhibition). Please include a complete vita with the application. The award will be announced at the Association's annual meeting in March 2009. Judges may withhold the award at their discretion.

The Stephen F. Austin's Old Three Hundred Fellowship in Texas History was established in 1997 from funds made available by the organization Descendants of Austin's Old Three Hundred to honor the spirit, courage, and character of this group of Texans.
