TSHA LAUNCHES $50,000 2009-2010 ANNUAL FUND CAMPAIGN

The Texas State Historical Association is conducting its first Annual Fund Campaign since 2004 and only the second in its history. While we intend to conduct an Annual Fund Campaign every year, this year's campaign is especially important in helping TSHA to buy time to build endowments and earned income, both of which have been depleted by the transition from the University of Texas to the University of North Texas and also by the economic downturn.

Contributions to the Annual Fund are different than your membership dues. Membership dues are used to produce, print, and mail the award winning Southwestern Historical Quarterly, the quarterly newsletter Riding Line, and to pay any membership services expenses.

Annual Fund contributions to TSHA support the daily operations of the institution. Annual Fund gifts help us continue our core programs—Education, Publications, Digital Gateway, Handbook of Texas Online, Texas Almanac, and Public Programs—and meet the needs of our varied constituents, from students and teachers who participate in our Education programs to scholars who publish in our journal and books to the millions of students, researchers, journalists, politicians, and business people who access the Handbook of Texas every year.

Your tax-deductible gift for the 2009-2010 Annual Fund should be made before August 31, 2010. All gifts will be recognized, and you can follow our progress toward our $50,000 goal by checking this web page. Please support the programs of TSHA by giving what you can today!
